Boston-based Brigham and Women's Hospital unveiled a new logo June 17 to promote collaboration with Mass General Brigham system through its brand identity.

Mass General Brigham rebranded in November 2019 from Partners HealthCare to highlight its renowned Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Emphasizing both hospitals' names in Mass General Brigham shows the organization's commitment to one collective purpose and lets patients know that they will be receiving the same level of care whether at the system's academic medical center or renowned specialty hospital, according to a June 17 news release.

Brigham and Women's new logo is inspired by two original hospital buildings of Mass General and Brigham and Women's hospitals: the Peter Bent Brigham building at the Brigham and the Bulfinch Building at Mass General. The new symbol has four pillars: the four-part mission of patient care, research, teaching and service to the community.

Brigham and Women's will transition to the new brand identity over the next several weeks and months by applying it to the hospital website, social media platforms, ID badges and stationery, according to a news release.
