Boston Children's Hospital joins TriNetX research network to connect patients with clinical trials

Jessica Kim Cohen -

Boston Children's Hospital on Feb. 1 went live on TriNetX, a global health research network, to connect eligible patients with relevant clinical trials.

The TriNetX research network enables healthcare organizations, biopharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations to submit and analyze patient data. Each data point on the network can be traced to an individual healthcare organization, which may flag the patient for recruitment into relevant clinical trials.

Boston Children's Hospital officials hope the program will raise patient awareness of various clinical trials.

"Being part of the TriNetX network allows us to collaborate around the globe with other researchers at biopharmaceutical companies who are working on new therapies that our patients need," said Piotr Sliz, PhD, chief research information officer at Boston Children's Hospital.
