Report: 63% of orgs have unfilled cybersecurity positions

Sixty-three percent of organizations have an unfilled cybersecurity position, up from 55 percent last year, according to the "State of Cybersecurity 2022" report from ISACA and LookingGlass.

The report featured responses from 2,031 cybersecurity professionals surveyed in the final quarter of 2021.

Here are the five cybersecurity roles that are hardest to fill (by the percentage of organizations with any of the positions unfilled):

1. Individual contributor/technical cybersecurity: 86 percent

2. Individual contributor/nontechnical cybersecurity: 71 percent

3. Cybersecurity manager: 64 percent

4. Senior manager/director of cybersecurity: 50 percent

5. Executive or C-suite cybersecurity (e.g., chief information security officer): 36 percent
