Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network began notifying patients that their data was stolen in the Accellion data breach that has affected at least 3 million others, according to an Aug. 3 report by The Morning Call.
At least 12 healthcare organizations have confirmed they were affected in the nationwide data breach of file transfer vendor Accellion in January.
While only seven organizations have reported the number of individuals affected by their breaches on the HHS data breach portal, there have been more than 3.38 million victims reported overall.
