7 Statistics on 2011 Children's Hospital Executive Compensation

In 2011, Integrated Healthcare Strategies released its Children's Hospitals Executive Compensation Survey, which highlighted pay data from 35 children's hospitals across the country.

That sample group, which had a median net revenue of $426 million, included 27 independent children's hospitals and eight subsidiary children's hospitals that are part of a larger health system. Here are seven statistics from that survey.

•    2011 salary increase (weighted median) for eight top executives: 3 percent
•    2011 salary increase (weighted mean) for eight top executives: 3.8 percent
•    Children's hospital CEO average salary increase in 2011: 3.3 percent
•    Children's hospital CFO average salary increase in 2011: 4.4 percent
•    Children's hospital COO average salary increase in 2011: 5.1 percent
•    Children's hospital CMO average salary increase in 2011: 3.3 percent
•    Median short-term incentive plan target opportunity level for CEOs: 31.5 percent
•    Median short-term incentive plan maximum opportunity level for CEOs: 48 percent
