As of May 2018, the average salary for certified registered nurse anesthetists across the U.S. was $174,790, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Here are the five states where CRNAs make the most, and five where they make the least on average.

Top five states:

Montana: $246,370

Iowa: $209,130
Oregon: $205,730
Wisconsin: $204,820

Bottom five states:
