Diagnostic Imaging has released its 2013 Radiology Compensation Survey, finding that the average compensation for radiologists in 2012 was about $400,000.

The survey received responses from radiologists, radiology students and residents, radiology technologists and others. Most respondents (59 percent) were male, and most worked at a hospital (43.6 percent) or academic medical center (16.2 percent). Here are 10 statistics from the survey on radiologist pay.

$100,000 or less: 1.9 percent
$100,001-$250,000: 10.9 percent
$250,001-$300,000: 8.9 percent
$300,001-$350,000: 14.1 percent
$350,001-$400,000: 19.7 percent
$400,001-$450,000: 14.6 percent
$450,001-$550,000: 9.9 percent
$550,001-$600,000: 5.6 percent
$600,001-$1 million: 12.1 percent
More than $1 million: 2.3 percent
