To identify the happiest and unhappiest states, WalletHub analysts compared the 50 states on 28 key metrics related to a person's overall well-being and satisfaction with life. The metrics range from depression rate to income growth. Each measure was graded on a 100-point scale, with 100 representing maximum happiness.
