The American College of Cardiology will honor 21 industry leaders for their contributions to enhancing cardiovascular care and outcomes globally.
Recipients will be recognized during a ceremony at the organization's annual meeting in March, according to a Jan. 6 news release from the organization.
Here are the industry leaders being awarded:
- Craig Beavers, PharmD, will receive the 2025 Distinguished Cardiovascular Team Member award.
- Ginger Biesbrock, PA-C, DSc, will receive the 2025 Presidential Citation award.
- Cathleen Biga, MSN, John Erwin III, MD, Chittur Sivaram, MD, and Richard Wright, MD, will each receive a 2025 Masters of the ACC award.
- Biykem Bozkurt, MD, PhD, will receive the 2025 Distinguished Fellow award.
- Keith Ferdinand, MD, will receive the 2025 Distinguished Service award.
- Jane Freedman, MD, will receive the 2025 Distinguished Scientist-Basic Domain award.
- James Januzzi Jr., MD, will receive the 2025 Distinguished Scientist-Clinical Domain award.
- Dinesh Kalra, MD, will receive the 2025 Gifted Educator award.
- Bonnie Ky, MD, will receive the 2025 Distinguished Scientist-Translational Domain award.
- Michelle Kittleson, MD, PhD, will receive the 2025 Distinguished Teacher award.
- Julio Palmaz, MD, will receive the 2025 Honorary Fellow award.
- Silvia Priori, MD, PhD, will receive the 2025 Valentin Fuster Award for Innovation in Science award.
- Eric Prystowsky, MD, will receive the 2025 Distinguished Mentor award.
- Fernando Stuardo Wyss Quintana, MD, will receive the 2025 International Service award.
- Jeffrey Allen Towbin, MD, will receive the 2025 Lifetime Achievement award.
- Mary Walsh, MD, will receive the 2025 Pamela S. Douglas Award for Diversity and Inclusion award.
- Brittany Weber, MD, PhD, will receive the 2025 Douglas P. Zipes Distinguished Young Scientist award.
- Malissa Wood, MD, will receive the 2025 Bernadine Healy Leadership in Women's Cardiovascular Disease award.
