8 US hospitals earn ‘advanced’ Joint Commission heart attack certification

Miami Beach, Fla.-based Mount Sinai Medical Center earned The Joint Commission’s Comprehensive Heart Attack Center Certification April 19, according to a LinkedIn post from the health system. The certification is the first for a hospital in Florida and the eighth in the U.S.

Here are the seven other U.S. hospitals that have earned The Joint Commission’s Comprehensive Heart Attack Center Certification:

  • Geisinger Medical Center (Danville, Pa.)
  • Geisinger Community Medical Center (Scranton, Pa.)
  • Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (Wilkes-Barre, Pa.)
  • Heartland Regional Medical Center (St. Joseph, Mo.)
  • Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas
  • University of California Davis Medical Center (Sacramento)
  • White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital
