Seven U.S. hospitals ranked in the top 10 of Newsweek's 2024 "World's Best Specialized Hospitals" list.
The 2024 rankings for 12 medical fields were based on a global survey of tens of thousands of medical professionals.The surveys were distributed between June and July.
The list featured the top 300 hospitals for cardiology and oncology, the top 250 for pediatrics, the top 150 for cardiac surgery, endocrinology and gastroenterology, the top 125 for neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology and the top 100 for obstetrics and gynecology, which is featured for the first time.
Here are the top 10 cardiac surgery hospitals:
- Mayo Clinic-Rochester (Minn.)
- Cleveland Clinic's Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute
- Massachusetts General Hospital's Corrigan Minehan Heart Center (Boston)
- The Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore)
- New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell (New York City)
- Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité (Berlin)
- The Mount Sinai Hospital (New York City)
- Herzzentrum Leipzig (Germany)
- Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston)
- AP-HP-Hôpital Universitaire Pitié Salpêtrière (Paris)
