Six cardiologists who have stepped into new roles since Sept. 1:
- Ali Azizzadeh, MD, an internationally recognized vascular surgeon at Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai, has been appointed associate dean of faculty affairs.
- New York City-based NYU Langone Health named Sunil Rao, MD, director of interventional cardiology and director of the NYU Langone cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Kamel Sadat, MD, an interventional cardiologist, has joined Franciscan Health Heart Center Michigan City (Ind.).
- Melanie Patel, MD, is the latest addition to Evangelical Community Hospital's Heart and Vascular Center in Lewisburg, Pa.
- Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital in Ellsworth welcomed Ellen Gallant, MD, to its cardiology practice.
- Corvallis, Ore.-based Samaritan Heart Center welcomed Gregory Wood, MD, to its cardiology department.
