Hawkinsville, Ga.-based Taylor Regional Hospital opened its new $6 million emergency room, 13WMAZ reported Feb. 20.
The new emergency department has seven exam rooms, 35 surgical beds, and a negative pressure room for treating COVID-19 and the flu. Construction started on the new emergency room last year.
The remodeling also made the department more spacious so COVID-19 patients didn't overlap with others.
