Flagler Health to build Florida 'health village'

Alia Paavola -

St. Augustine, Fla.-based Flagler Health+ plans to build a "health village" in Palm Coast, Fla., according to The Daytona Beach News-Journal.

The health village will include a medical facility that has family medicine, behavioral health services, women's care, urgent care, orthopedics, and imaging and laboratory services. It will also have lifestyle events on campus, including art classes and other activities.

"Our goal is to be the most essential health partner for the communities we serve," Jason Barrett, Flagler Health+ president and CEO, told the News-Journal. "We have a long history of serving the residents of Flagler County and look forward to expanding that relationship."

Construction of the healthcare village is slated to begin next year.

Flagler Health+, formerly Flagler Hospital, is the rebranded name of the hospital announced in February.
