CHS invests $100M in 400 projects at Lutheran Health Network

Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Lutheran Health Network Regional President and CEO Mike Poore said the system's parent company, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, will have invested $100 million in projects at LHN by the end of 2017, according to the News-Sentinel.

The $100 million investment will fund 100 construction projects and 300 capital and equipment projects across LHN's eight hospitals and other facilities. In a Thanksgiving message to employees, Mr. Poore said the projects include the addition of a second hybrid cath lab at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne and a new orthopedics and sports medicine complex at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, Ind.

CHS plans to invest a total of $500 million in Lutheran Health Network, including a possible new medical campus to replace St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.
