Christus Bossier Emergency Hospital to open in February

Christus Health Shreveport-Bossier Health System in Shreveport, La., will open its new emergency hospital in Bossier City, La., in February 2018, according to a Shreveport Times report.

The microhospital, called Christus Bossier Emergency Hospital, includes a nine-bed emergency department. It also features a six-bed short-stay inpatient unit, an imaging center and onsite laboratory. Patients will have access to MRI, general X-ray and 3-D mammography services, among others. The lab will also serve as a phlebotomy draw station for referring physicians in Bossier City.

The hospital will be open 24/7. It has been under construction since 2016, according to the report.
