Bee colonies removed from UK hospital

Rockwood Hospital in Cardiff, Wales, summoned beekeepers to remove more than 100,000 bees that had taken up residence in the hospital's roof, reports Bristol Herald Courier.

The hospital discovered the colonies' presence when patients reported honey dripping down ward walls in July.

Beekeepers from Tree Bee Society removed two separate colonies — one comprised of approximately 70,000 bees — from the hospital this week.
