Ascension hospital in Wisconsin to undergo additional renovations

Howard Young Medical Center, a 99-bed hospital in Woodruff, Wis., owned by St. Louis-based Ascension, will undergo a $5 million renovation beginning July 10, according to WSAW-TV7 News.

Renovations will include upgrades to the facility's cardiac rehabilitation and emergency departments, among other areas. Officials also said they plan to implement other improvements to enhance patient safety and experience and make the building more energy efficient.

Officials expect to complete construction on the facility by October. Upgrades to the hospital's emergency department will begin after Labor Day.

The hospital underwent a series of updates this past spring to improve road access to the facility, according to the report.
