Advocate Aurora Health to build $250M medical complex in Wisconsin

Alia Paavola -

Advocate Aurora Health, a recently merged entity comprised of Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care and Milwaukee-based Aurora Healthcare, will build a $250 million medical complex in Mount Pleasant, Wis.

The complex will feature a hospital, two primary care clinics and a medical office building, adding to the organization's existing primary and specialty physician presence in the region.

The proposed hospital, which will be built on a 96-acre site, would offer a wide range of inpatient care and emergency services. It is the first large construction project announced since the merger of Advocate and Aurora.

"We look forward to serving this rapidly growing community by ensuring consumers have access to the right care at the right time in the right setting," said Nick Turkal, MD, co-president and CEO of Advocate Aurora Health.

Construction is scheduled to begin late this year and wrap up in 2021.
