Six hospitals or health systems that announced, started or completed construction projects in the last week:

1. Our Lady of the Lake to open $230M children's hospital Oct. 5
Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La., will open its $230 million children's hospital to patients Oct. 5.

2. Allegheny Health Network to start building microhospital after 6-month delay
Construction on one of Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network's new microhospitals is moving forward after a six-month pause.

3. Baptist Health Care unveils plan for $550M Florida replacement hospital
Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Fla., plans to build a $550 million replacement hospital.

4. Mayo Clinic receives $5M for Center for Women's Health
The Minneapolis-based George Family Foundation has donated $5 million to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., for the creation of a new center that will take a highly personalized approach to women's health.

5. San Antonio hospital seeks diverse pool of candidates to build women and children's tower
University Hospital in San Antonio is looking to hire construction companies owned by women, minorities and veterans to help build its women and children's tower.

6. City of Hope invests $1B in new cancer hospital
Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope will invest $1 billion in a new hospital and research center conducting clinical trials of new drugs and devices in Irvine, Calif.
