15 U.S. Cities With Shortest Physician Wait Time

Denver's average physician wait time was the shortest among all major U.S. cities in 2012, clocking in at 15 minutes and 15 seconds, according to a Vitals report.

Vitals' 2012 "Physician Wait Time Report" is based on patient-reported wait times from its database of more than 870,000 physicians.

Here are the 15 major U.S. cities with the shortest average physician wait time, according to the report:

1. Denver — 15 minutes, 15 seconds
2. Minneapolis — 15 minutes, 44 seconds
3. Milwaukee — 16 minutes, 2 seconds
4. Seattle — 16 minutes, 25 seconds
5. Portland, Ore. — 16 minutes, 28 seconds
6. Omaha, Neb. — 16 minutes, 34 seconds
7. Raleigh, N.C. — 16 minutes, 51 seconds
8. Oakland, Calif. — 17 minutes, 15 seconds
9. San Diego — 17 minutes, 17 seconds
10. Austin, Texas — 17 minutes, 22 seconds
11. Boston — 17 minutes, 23 seconds
12. Albuquerque, N.M. — 17 minutes, 33 seconds
13. San Jose, Calif. — 18 minutes, 19 seconds
14. San Francisco — 18 minutes, 30 seconds
15. Charlotte, N.C. — 18 minutes, 39 seconds
