Software provider for Sears, Delta breach customer payment information

Customer payment information from Sears Holding Corp. and Delta Air Lines may have been exposed when their software service provider [24]7.ai was breached around Sept. 26, 2017, according to CNBC.

In mid-March, [24]7.ai notified Sears and Delta of a cybersecurity incident involving  the unauthorized access of nearly 100,000 credit card files belonging to their customers.

Delta clarified personal details related to passport, government identification, security and SkyMiles information were not affected. Sears added its stores were not compromised and its internal systems were also not affected.
