Amazon's Alexa is coming to Marriott hotel rooms

Ayla Ellison -

Amazon and Marriott International have partnered to increase hotel guest access to amenities with Amazon's Alexa, according to Reuters.

Using Amazon's voice-controlled device Echo, Alexa for hospitality will assist hotels with providing guests a number of services, including ordering room service or calling the concierge for dinner recommendations without picking up the phone.

The partnership will launch this summer at select Marriott properties.

Amazon said Alexa for hospitality will be available by invitation to other hotel chains, according to the report.
