Sheridan Healthcare: Great blog posts and content-based marketing from a leading national provider

1. Sheridan has evolved over the years into one of the largest and most respected providers of anesthesiology services to hospitals and surgery centers.

It also has growing service lines in anesthesiology, neonatology, emergency department and radiology services. It articulates on its website that it started serving clients in 1953. The president of Sheridan, Robert Coward, joined Sheridan in 1994.

2. When one reviews the world of branding and attempts to appeal to possible constituents, Sheridan stands out to some with their use of what we think of as content-based marketing. On their website, for example, they have intelligent and thoughtful blog posts that do not just "sell" Sheridan, with their March post on "Aligning the Board Room and the Operating Room" as a prime instance. There are also terrific pieces on "Blood Management Programs" and "Improving Patient Care through Efficient Processes". None of these pieces directly promote Sheridan.

3. Sheridan will be sharing some of its thought leadership at our Becker's Hospital Review 6th Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 7th at 11:15 AM. Dr. Joseph Loskove will be speaking on behalf of Sheridan, with his presentation titled "Anesthesia Management for Hospitals".
