Superior Health Partners, BCBS of Michigan Partner for Accountable Care

Superior Health Partners, an alliance of eight independent health systems in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, has announced an accountable care organization-like partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.

The goal of the three-year partnership is to meet the triple aim of improving quality and patient experience while lowering costs.

According to a news release, BCBSM will provide upfront payments as well as shared savings incentives. The incentive payments will help SHP develop infrastructure and improve clinical integration for better population health management.
