San Francisco data company rolls out tool to help ACOs identify cost savings

Jessica Kim Cohen -

San Francisco-based healthcare data platform company Innovaccer recently launched ACO Advisor, a free tool to help ACOs identify opportunities for cost savings.

ACO Advisor uses CMS-reported data to detect savings patterns related to utilization, quality and expenditures at ACOs. With the tool, representatives from ACOs are able to download a personalized report on major cost drivers at their facilities and evaluate revenue related to various metrics, such as risk adjustment, 30-day readmissions and chronic care management.

"It has been six years since the ACO program was started, but still most of them are leaving money on the table by not assuming enough risks," Abhinav Shashank, CEO and co-founder of Innovaccer, said in a company statement. "We leveraged our pioneering technology to pave an outcomes-oriented road map for ACOs."
