How the Pioneer ACOs stacked up on shared savings, quality in 2016

The majority of Pioneer ACOs ended the model's final performance year with at least $1 million in shared savings, according to data CMS released Friday.

The Pioneer ACO initiative began in 2012 and ended Dec. 31, 2016. The program started with 32 ACOs and eight remained at the program's sunset.

Six of the eight Pioneer ACOs generated shared savings under the model. Here is how they compared in terms of shared savings in 2016.

7. Monarch HealthCare (Irvine, Calif.) — $0 
8. Partners HealthCare (Needham, Mass.) — $0

Here is how they compared in terms of overall quality scores in 2016.
