The following list includes recently announced, new or expanded accountable care organizations and collaborative care agreements, beginning with the most recent.

1. UnitedHealthcare, Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance to collaborate
UnitedHealthcare announced plans to give 52,000 UnitedHealthcare members with employer-sponsored plans access to the Dallas-based ACO Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance.

2. HackensackAlliance expands ACO to 10k Aetna members
Aetna and HackensackAlliance ACO in Hackensack, N.J., announced the launch of a new accountable care agreement to expand coordinated care to more than 10,000 Aetna members, effective April 1.

3. BCBS of Illinois launches 4 new ACOs, 4 more to come
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois formed four new accountable care organizations in the Chicago area with Chicago-based Presence Health, Arlington Heights, Ill.-based Alexian Brothers Health System, Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University HealthSystem and Kane County IPA in Tinley Park.

4. Wellmark BCBS launches 4 new ACOs
Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield announced the launch of four new accountable care organizations in and near Iowa. The new ACO agreements were formed with West Burlington, Iowa-based Great River Health Systems, Mercy Iowa City (Iowa), Omaha, Neb.-based Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital and Pella (Iowa) Regional Health Center.

5. Truckee Tahoe Medical Group joins rural ACO group
Truckee Tahoe Medical Group announced it joined the National Rural Accountable Care Consortium, a program designed to help rural providers participate in the Medicare Shared Savings Program.

6. Heritage Provider Network, Fresenius Medical Care to build coordinated care networks
Marina Del Rey, Calif.-based Heritage Provider Network and Waltham, Mass.-based Fresenius Medical Care, a vertically integrated renal company, announced an agreement to collaborate and develop coordinated care networks and population health management services throughout the country.
