11 recent accountable care, shared savings agreements

The following list includes recently announced, new or expanded accountable care organizations and collaborative care agreements, beginning with the most recent.

1. North Shore LIJ-Empire BlueCross BlueShield to launch ACO
Great Neck, N.Y.-based North Shore-LIJ Health System and Empire BlueCross BlueShield announced an agreement to launch an ACO for 33,000 commercial and Medicare Advantage members in New York.

2. Aledade to launch ACOs in 7 states
Bethesda, Md.-based Aledade announced it applied to CMS to launch ACOs next year in seven states, including Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

3. Reliance ACO joins Rite Aid Health Alliance
Camp Hill, Pa.-based RiteAid announced Farmington Hills, Mich.-based Reliance ACO will become the eighth partner part of the Rite Aid Health Alliance initiative for coordinated care.

4. Tufts Health Plan, Iora Health partner for primary care
Watertown, Mass.-based Tufts Health Plan and Cambridge, Mass.-based Iora Health announced a new primary care collaboration for the health plan's Medicare Preferred HMO and Senior Care Options members.

5. Roper St. Francis, Boeing to launch CIN in South Carolina
Charleston, S.C.-based Roper St. Francis and Boeing South Carolina announced a new partnership for more than 6,000 Boeing employees and their dependents in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina.

6. Floyd Medical Center to launch Medicare ACO
Rome, Ga.-based Floyd Medical Center is expected to launch a Medicare Shared Savings Program ACO for more than 9,000 Medicare patients.

7. Humana, Unity Healthcare launch value-based care for MA enrollees in Indiana
Lafayette, Ind.-based Unity Healthcare and Louisville, Ky.-based Humana announced an agreement effective July 1 to bring value-based care to 4,000 Medicare Advantage beneficiaries in North Central Indiana.

8. North Shore-LIJ, Aetna ink value-based agreement
Great Neck, N.Y.-based North Shore-LIJ Health System and Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna announced a value-based agreement to provide 30,000 commercial plan members with coordinated care.

9. Humana, Iora expand ACO partnership
Louisville, Ky.-based Humana and Cambridge, Mass.-based Iora Health announced plans to expand their accountable care partnership with the launch of seven new primary care practices in Arizona, Colorado and Washington.

10. Cigna-HealthSpring, Premier Patient Health ACO to partner for Medicare patients
Dallas-based ACO Premier Patient Health Care and Cigna-HealthSpring, a division of Cigna that serves Medicare and Medicaid enrollees, announced a partnership to improve the quality and affordability of care for Medicare patients.

11. Cigna, PrimeHealth Physicians launch collaborative care program in South Florida
Cigna and PrimeHealth Physicians — a 45-physician independent medical group based in Miami — announced the July 1 launch of a collaborative care initiative.
