The Orthopaedic & Rheumatologic Institute at Cleveland Clinic features eight distinct departments and centers, including rheumatic and immunological diseases, a center for orthotics and prosthetics, a concussion center and musculoskeletal physical medicine and rehabilitation. All the centers within the orthopedic and rheumatology departments have active clinical trial programs. Surgeons at Cleveland Clinic perform more than 7,000 joint replacements each year — one of the highest case volumes nationwide. U.S. News & World Report ranked Cleveland Clinic No. 3 in the country for orthopedics for 2014-15. The hospital is designated a Blue Distinction Center for both spine surgery and knee and hip replacements and also holds Magnet accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
