Chad Whelan, MD. President of Loyola University Medical Center (Maywood, Ill.). Dr. Whelan joined Loyola University Medical Center as senior vice president and CMO in 2014 and was promoted to president of the 547-bed hospital in May. He oversees the hospital's Level I trauma center, children's hospital and Loyola Outpatient Center on the 61-acure campus. He previously served as associate CMO for performance improvements and innovation at University of Chicago Hospitals and spent two years as director of the hospital medicine division at Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, where he is a professor.
