Ochsner Medical Center (New Orleans). Ochsner Medical Center is home to the Ochsner Neuroscience Institute, which employs nine neurosurgeons. In 2015, Ochsner's neurosurgical team completed 1,294 surgeries, demonstrating significant growth over to 2013, when the team saw 1,040 patients. Ochsner Medical Center is also home to the Ochsner Back and Spine Center, which focuses on minimally invasive techniques. Ochsner Medical Center ranks among the top 25 hospitals in the nation for neurology and neurosurgery on U.S. News & World Report's 2017-18 rankings and earned the No. 22 spot in the nation for neurological surgery on CareChex's rankings in 2018.
