Cleveland Clinic. As one of the premier destinations for medical care in the country, Cleveland Clinic boasts a large orthopedics department equipped to handle a variety of injuries and conditions. Cleveland Clinic's surgeons perform more than 7,000 hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow, wrist and finger joint replacements annually. The hospital's orthopedic division houses nine specialty programs and earned the No. 3 spot on U.S. News & World Report's ranking of best hospitals for orthopedics in 2017-18. Each of the orthopedic surgery department's various centers maintains active translational and clinical outcomes research, for which the Cleveland Clinic Foundation received more than $2 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health in 2017. Cleveland Clinic is a Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Blue Distinction Center+ for knee and hip replacement.
