Barnes-Jewish Hospital (St. Louis).One of the largest healthcare providers by square feet in Missouri, Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center stands as one of several teaching affiliated hospitals for St. Louis-based Washington University School of Medicine. Washington University orthopedic surgeons are busy, performing around 1,100 joint replacements annually. Barnes-Jewish also has a robust musculoskeletal oncology program, which avoids amputation in 90 percent of cases by implementing innovative limb salvage techniques.
