U.S. News & World Report ranked Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as the fourth best program for pediatric orthopedics in the country for 2014-15. CHOP's orthopedic department sees more than 59,000 outpatient visits and 3,400 inpatient stays a year. CHOP offers a number of specialized programs including those for spine, sports medicine, young adult hip preservation, limb deficiencies and cerebral palsy. The hospital also features the Center for Thoracic Insufficiency Syndrome, one of the country's first programs dedicated to the condition. CHOP is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
