University of Chicago Medical Center. The University of Chicago launched the Women's Health Friends & Family Program in 2014 to offer longer clinical hours and expedited appointments for same-day clinical care. The program also offers educational seminars on women's health issues and family planning. The University of Chicago Medical Center also has a strong program to diagnose and treat breast cancer with access to 31 clinical trials. The University of Chicago is part of the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium, giving patients access to neoadjuvant therapy and other cutting-edge treatments. U.S. News & World Report ranked the University of Chicago Medical Center among the top 50 hospitals in the nation for gynecology and cancer care.
