Rush University Medical Center (Chicago). Rush University Cancer Center has received four consecutive outstanding achievement awards from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. Between 2015 and 2016, the academic medical center tripled the number of open clinical trials for cancer patients. The cancer center also opened an urgent care, walk-in clinic specifically for cancer patients at the medical center in 2016. U.S. News & World Report named Rush University Medical Center among the top 50 U.S. hospitals for cancer care in 2017-18.
