The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital includes 32 hospital and practice member institutions, which are collectively staffed by hundreds of oncology researchers and physicians. The center is recognized as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation for cancer care by the U.S. News & World Report. Thomas Jefferson is also Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence and is one of 69 National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Centers. This SKCC launched its first Center of Excellence for Cancer Risk, Prevention and Control, which will marry population science with basic and clinical programs.
