10 workforce trends to watch in 2016

According to a recent HealthStream HR Executive Survey, 75% of healthcare organizations say having a talent acquisition strategy is more important today than even a year ago. Here are 10 trends that will shape the coming years:

1. Healthcare is projected to be the fastest growing industry

Healthcare occupations are expected to grow faster than all others between 2014 and 2024, adding 2.3 million new jobs. Organizations will need to develop targeted recruiting and branding campaigns to attract top talent.

2. Millennials Transform Recruiting and Retention Strategies

The largest generation to enter the workforce since baby boomers – organizations that want to attract millennials must learn what drives them. Most hospital workplace policies were written for baby boomers.
