Teladoc members seeking a primary care physician (PCP) or a specialist, including oncologists, orthopedists and others, can now request and receive a referral within one business day.
Surprising to many, it is estimated that 62 million Americans do not have access to a PCP1. Furthermore, research2 shows that patients who have a PCP relationship demonstrate better management of chronic disease, have 30 percent lower health care costs, and have a 70 percent reduction in unnecessary trips to the emergency department.
