Harbor Health System approved by CA Dept. of Worker’s Compensation for telemedicine

California Department of Workers' Compensation approved Harbor Health Systems — a IT company that supports medical provider network in California — to offer telemedicine services.

Harbor Health is one of the first companies in the state to receive approval from the Department of Worker's Compensation, and it can now offer more than 2 million employees in California video access to physicians in the event of workplace injury.

Video conferencing will allow injured workers to gain immediate access to treatment and will result in less time off from work by streamlining the patient's treatment plan, according to Harbor Health.

“This approval is a positive step forward in improving access to high quality care for injured workers,” said President Linda Lane.
