Medline is now HDG's prime vendor for various supplies and value-added programs: 4 things to know

Medical supplier Medline and Health Dimensions Group, a provider of management and consulting solutions, have entered into a vendor agreement aimed at bringing greater quality of care and outcomes to patients.

Here are four things to know about the agreement.

1. Under the agreement, Medline will provide HDG facilities with products and value-added programs. HDG will offer Medline customers with consulting services in the areas of post-acute senior care quality, strategy and operational and financial performance.

2. One value-added program Medline will provide through the partnership is the abaqis Quality Management System, which replicates Quality Indicator System methods and procedures to help healthcare facilities better comply with regulations.

3. Mark Mega, post-acute division sales manager at Medline, expressed excitement about the agreement. "In today's complex healthcare world, innovative partners need to do more than just deliver on price," he said in a prepared statement. "That's why we are laser focused on helping our customers achieve both clinical and financial success. We are proud of the value we bring through quality management solutions and look forward to working with HDG to share insight, efficiency and expertise."

4. Craig Abbott, president of HDG, shared Mr. Mega's sentiments, saying, "Our seniors rely on us to provide quality healthcare services every day. Medline ... can help us unlock even more meaningful ways to deliver high quality care and outcomes."
