Rock Island, Ill.-based healthcare startup divvyDOSE hopes to transform the way patients access and keep track of their medications.
The company offers a full-service pharmacy that delivers medications — ranging from vitamins and pills to ointments — to patients in pre-sorted packages. The personalized pill packs contain pre-sorted medications and are labeled with the date and time the drugs should be taken.
Along with the pills packs, customers receive a divvyCARD containing a list of current medications that can be carried around in a wallet or purse and easily shown to a healthcare professional. The company also sends customers a divvyLABEL, which compiles an individual's current medications, dosages and directions for use alongside a photo of each drug to ensure accurate medication adherence.
The company manages refills for customers, contacting providers for refill authorizations when necessary, and also offers a free mobile app to manage medications and set reminders for when to take pills.
