7 latest FDA approvals

Here are seven drugs and medical devices approved by the Food and Drug Administration since Jan. 18.

1. New York City-based Synergy Pharmaceuticals' drug Trulance treats chronic idiopathic constipation.

2. The cancer drug Imbruvica may now be used to treat patients with marginal zone lymphoma who require systemic therapy and have received at least one type of lymphoma therapy.

3. Sunovion Pharmaceuticals' Latuda can now be used to treat schizophrenia in kids aged 13 to 17 years.

4. Teva Pharmaceuticals developed two new asthma inhalers, the AirDuo RespiClick and the ArmonAir RespiClick.

5. Abbott can now label its Assurity MRI pacemaker as MRI-compatible.

6. Minneapolis-based Medtronic developed a noninvasive heart mapping system to detect irregular heart rhythms.

7. Opdivo can now be used to treat urothelial carcinoma — the most common type of bladder cancer.
