Legacy Health in Portland Considers 10-Year Expansion Project

Portland, Ore.-based Legacy Health may embark on a 10-year expansion project which would include a new patient tower, according to a Portland Business Journal report.

The proposed expansion depends on a capital campaign and approval from the health system's board.

Legacy Health currently plans to use property acquired through a land-swap deal with the city to update operating rooms at its Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, according to the report.

The health system opened its $245 million Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel in February.
