Rhode Island Seeks $75M in Federal Grants for Health Insurance Exchange

Rhode Island has requested $74.5 million in federal grants to establish its health insurance exchange, according to a Providence Business News report.

Independent Gov. Lincoln Chafee signed an executive order to create the exchange last month, and according to the report, the funding would cover the exchange's development over three years.

Rhode Island should find out if it will receive the funding by December.
