Minnesota Republicans Want Involvement in State Health Insurance Exchange

Republicans in the Minnesota legislature want to have a role in developing the state's health insurance exchange and do not want Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton to proceed unilaterally, according to a Pioneer Press report.

Minnesota will be receiving $4.2 million to help set up an insurance exchange by Jan. 1, 2013, the report said. Minnesota Sen. David Hann (R-Eden Prairie) said Republicans will pursue "every means available" to prevent Gov. Dayton from proceeding with the exchange, including court action if necessary.
