Stand Up for Patient Safety Management Awards announced: 4 things to know

The recipients of the 2017 Stand Up for Patient Management Awards have been announced.

1. The awards will be handed out during the Patient Safety Congress in Orlando, Fla., May 17-19.

2. NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue is set to be honored for its program to improve the management of insulin-dependent diabetes in adult patients.

3. Wilmington, Del.-based Christiana Care Health System will receive recognition for its readmission reduction program called Carelink CareNow.

4. The National Patient Safety Foundation created the Stand Up for Patient Safety program 2002. NPSF officially merged with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement May 4.
