Ansell has announced the start of its third annual Ansell Cares Heal, Educate, Reach, Overcome Nurse Service Award, or the Ansell Cares HERO Nurse Service Award.
The award recognizes nurses who make lasting impressions on their peers, patients, profession and communities.
"The Ansell Care HERO Nurse Service Award was established as a way to demonstrate our appreciation and admiration for nurses: their professionalism, dedication and compassion," said Anthony Lopez, president and general manager of the medical global business unit at Ansell, which provides health and safety protection solutions.
U.S. residents can nominate nurses online through April 9 at www.ansellhero.com. Voting will start April 10 and run through May 12.
The 10 nominees with the most votes will receive the award, which includes a plaque and a nursing reference book, and will have a profile online. Additionally, Ansell will make a donation to a selected charity in the name of the nominee who receives the most votes overall.
