Johns Hopkins to coordinate Ebola personal protective equipment workshop

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have turned to Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine to design an online learning program to train healthcare workers on the proper use of personal protective equipment when working with Ebola patients.

Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality is working with the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology to create PPE training videos. The videos will explain how to put on PPE and safely remove it, as well as how healthcare workers can monitor each other for safety during the process.

The three modules will be available for free on the CDC's website next week and will also be available on iTunes U.
